Okay, I went to adjust the tps by grounding the ten pin in the diagnostic box and tightening the tps down right before the fan kicks in. While the ten pin was still grounded, I gave it some gas and the fan kicked on for as long as I was giving it gas. As soon as I let it idle, the fan cuts off? Is this normal?????

By giving it gas your changing the position of the throttle which is why your fans are coming on when the ten pin is grounded. That's perfectly normal.. you shouldnt have to press the gas during this procedure. The car will idle rough but that's ok.. it should go back to normal when you tape the paperclip or whatever you used out.

You shouldnt rev the engine while the Ten/Grnd is jumpered...
