hey just raced a real nice 98ish gt on the interstate we slowed to around 60 i put it in third and puched it he took a quick lead put by about 75 i flew past him like he was standing still. I could have probably put it in 2nd to get and early lead but oh well still a good race

you'd blow your engine if you tried to shift to second while cruising at 60 and I highly doubt you "flew past him" at 75. You have hardly any performance mods except for a ZE and exhaust.

Ive ridden in steves car and its definitly no sloutch And if it was a 96-98 mgt, i believe it 100%

might not be a slouch but no probe besides boosted or Chris' MX6 is going to "fly by" a Mustang GT at 75mph

I'm sure there are many N/A Probes that have decent mods that can pass Mustangs at 75mph. Not sure if 'flying' by is the word, but definitely beat. The 98 MGTs werent ungodly fast.

well i don't know what you consider flying by is but by 90 i had about 2-3 cars on him so ya i went by him pretty fast. I'm not saying that he had the best running gt in the world i might have had 150k on it who knows. I do know that it looked damn though. I'm not trying to start a fight or anything i'm just telling you what happened.

i believe ya, i think thats just a matter of opinion on what "flying by" is. but every 94-98 mustang gt excluding the cobra i have raced i have won. great kill and i love beating stangs its a great feeling isnt it?

whoever would shift into 2nd from 60mph would just be asking for it! But personally i you have big brass balls I say go ahead and make mush out of those tranny synchros

As for the kit obviously a ze could beat a MGT becuase the 4.6 OHC was a joke. I have seen many run 15.5 stock. ATX's are really slow I raced a built 4.6 a long time ago whenI had 205 whp. He beat me up pretty good from a launch but from 25mph he barely beat me. But yeah a ZE modded would beat a mgt stock pretty easily. GOOD KILL!

yea second at 60 might be alittle much! i was actually playing around with it today and at 60-65 i'm at about 7 grand so i would prolly be a waste anyways. oh well Thanks for all of the replies!!!

If you flew by him it was because he stopped racing. I've got a lighter, faster klze mx-3 and I can't even "fly by" a MGT at 75. When I had the kl03 in my car I was DEAD even with one up to 130 mph.

What's wrong with putting the car in 2nd gear at 60mph? Hell ive done it plenty of times, sure u can't stay in it long but damn i mean my car does like 65 or alil more in 2nd i mean i dont regularly do it but its not an engine blowing problem i dont think...
