  • Show'n Shine - Sunday 19th of Feb 2006

Guys 'n girls, this is just to gauge interest in possibly participating in a show'n shine. I'd love to have the Probe represented in a larger Ford display, maybe even the All Ford Day in Geelong on Sunday 19th of Feb 2006(?). It doesn't have to be the Geelong day, any event will do as I think we'd knock a few people's socks off.

Check out the Kiwanis All Ford Day website here

If you might be interested in taking part, please put your name down.

Is anyone interested at all? Please respond with a yes or no. I'm happy to organise the whole thing if there's interest. For all you interstaters, it'd be a great chance for a get-together.

It's a huge display put on by various Ford car clubs. You normally get a lot of Falcon based clubs, Escort clubs, Cobra clubs etc etc. I think if we went as a club and showed of our cars, we'd get a lot of attention.
We'd turn up there in the morning with cars all washed, polished and ready to be shown off and enjoy a day of talking to people about our cars and also wandering around admiring other Fords. These events are a great way to spend a day.
Click on the link in my first post and see what I mean. There's normally even prizes and trophies for the best club display and it's also a great way of attracting new members.

If you want to talk to me directly about it, feel free to call me on 0412 0412 44

BTW, just to clarify, I intend to display as a club so this needs some organisation.

Although it'd be nice, we don't need a lot of cars. If you're in, I'll book it.

                I'm possibly interested...

However, I have NO idea what i'm doing next week, let alone Feb '06, so I can't say for sure that I will be able to make it.

When do we need to have final numbers by, Steve?

At this stage all I'm looking for is an indication of interest. I don't really need definite numbers. An approximate number will give the event organisers an indication of how much space our club will need so I'd say by the end of this month or start of Dec we'd need an approx figure for final booking by the end of Dec. It'll cost $20.00 per car, passengers included.

We're pretty proud of them here. The current range offer a twin cam turbo 4ltr six and a quad cam 5.4ltr v8. My other car is a Falcon running the 5.4 v8 which I've had modified to put out about 400hp at the rear wheels.

Spot on. Just give it a bit of a spit and polish you're right.
