      *COMPILATION PART4*
What: *Non abs 93-02 and 98-02 626 abs rear hub assemblies fit the 2nd gen abs probes (cheaper). The old sensor ring knocks off and when heated up slip right back on without any pressing.

      Donor Car:
      Modification required:
      Why:

What: Protege calipers upgrade for the rear of our PGTs to get rid of the freezing up that happens on the 93's & 94's. The third gen protege*rear calipers*are what you are looking for - 99-03 model years as well as the 02-03 p5.
      Donor Car: 99-03 Protégé, 02-03 P5
      Modification required:
Why: They give you about 1/3" more contact patch on the rotors, and are physically larger calipers also (for the "look" of it, if you're interested in that) Most importantly, the seals on the piston and ebrake arm are much better.

What: 626 brakes on 2nd Gen
      Donor Car: 98-02 626
Modification required: the probe caliper fit fine, but needed to use the newer caliper bracket, and disc's.

Donor Car: The part number is 6203 RS made by CCVI, the NSK bearing part number (stock with the bearing) is 6203DUL1.

What: SHO Power harness for the slave CD player can be used to add the needed power connection to 95+ PGT's that lacked the equalizer plugs on the harness.
      Donor Car:
      Modification required:
      Why: http://forums.probetalk.com/showpost...&postcount=209

What: The 2nd gen Probes (SE and PGT) came with 28MM front bars and so did many 93-97 626's. The MX6 and the rest of the 626's came with a 26mm front bar.
      Donor Car:
      Modification required:
      Why: http://forums.probetalk.com/showpost...&postcount=214

What: Protege lateral links are tubular and much more rigid than the MX6/probe stamped links.
      Donor Car:
      Modification required:
      Why:

What: The upper strut mounts for the Escape/Tribute SUV's are a stronger and safer captured design than ours and is a stiffer mount (ie less rubber to flex) but has a round hole. So you'll need an impact to instal most likely.
      Donor Car:
      Modification required:
      Why:

What: The intake manifold from a 98+ V6 626 bolts right on and is a better design than ours but you need a Mazda Millenia 2.5L throttle body to make it work.
      Donor Car:
      Modification required:
      Why:

What: The MX3 K8 cams are slightly more agressive than the DE cams but not quite as agressive as ZE cams.
      Donor Car:
      Modification required:
      Why:

What: The MX3 GS and all final generation 929's used the JE 50 VAF used with the KLZE. The MX3 GS ECU is also a decent stand in for a genuine ZE ECU.
      Donor Car:
      Modification required:
      Why:

What: 98+ 626's sometimes came with chrome interior door handles that swap with 2G MX6 handles.
      Donor Car:
      Modification required:
      Why:

What: If you have an OBDII car you can switch from the VAF to the MAF found on a 96+ Millenia takes a little work but you can do it, I liked it.*There might be a 95 with a MAF, I found one in the Junk Yard that had a Maf and a OBDI ECU, I still have it just never did anything with it.*
      Donor Car:
      Modification required:
      Why: http://forums.probetalk.com/showpost...&postcount=230

What: Mazda 929*Master Cylinder*fits ABS Cars, there was a change so it would work on Non-ABS cars too it was a little nicer for bigger brake kits and is obviously cheaper. 92+ 929's I believe.*

      Why: http://forums.probetalk.com/showpost...&postcount=230

What: Toyota PCV Rubber Gasket is a great replacement for our VC Gasket that seems to break most of the time when you remove it.*

What: For all you European people (such as myself, currently stationed in Germany), I just found out that the 94 Mazda*Xedos*2.0 v6 has the JE50 VAF (much like the KLZE). I have yet to find out what ECU it has. Will not be surprised if it is the KL31. Will also try and tear apart the engine and check out the cams.

      Why: http://forums.probetalk.com/showpost...&postcount=239

What: GM part number 15149708 is a great replacement for the stock trim retainers on the interior. GM uses them on their fender liners on pickups and a few other applications as well. The only downside is they only come in black.
      Donor Car:
      Modification required:
      Why: http://forums.probetalk.com/showpost...&postcount=243

What: I believe 98 and up Mazda 626 KLG4 cars came with silicone valve cover gaskets. They do not need sealant to keep them from dribbling. I have not verified this but I have recently found the silicone gaskets on two different G4 cars. So either they were what was factory OEM or they got the silicone gaskets at a Ford/Mazda dealership service department? I don't know if I want to pay Ford prices for the gaskets only to find that they are the bake-n-crack variety.

                      • I'm interested in the Protégé tubular lateral links, can someone supply the years/model we should be looking for?

I see no mention of the MX3 rear motor mount that can be used. Still looking for the years/model we should be looking for that as well.

                        • ^ The MX3 rear motor mount isnt a direct swap. It involves a bit of fabrication and welding. This thread is more for stuff that is easily swappable.

                          • A little off topic, but transparent lego antennas make good replacement needles for gauges. I was thinking about this when reading the thread on changing the gauge colors and how many people have broken the needles off. http://www.toysperiod.com/lego-set-r...-antenna-pack/
                            I think it's an obsession!
