How To Use Imgur To Post Pics

1. Go to www.imgur.com, hit new post and upload images.



2. Drag your image or images onto the box or hit Browse to find the images on your computer. (You can hold CTRL on your keyboard and single click multiple images to select multiple different files at once)



3. After the images upload, hover over one with your mouse, a menu will pop up, hover over the arrow to go down and select get share links.



4. Now use the bottom left BBCode(forums) link. Just hit the copy button.



5. Now you can paste that code into your post and the image will display.

how long do imgur pics stay up?

i've had links ( to 3rd party pictures ) change using imgur links so i was under the impression that they age out after a month or so and imgur recycles the link name to some other gif.

Well, i thought they stayed up forever, i don't think i have ever had any of mine taken down, but this is the official statement.

"Imgur keep images for ever as long as they are receiving at least 1 view every six months. If they are not they may be deleted to save space. Popular images and those shared on Imgur will probably meet this criteria due to becoming viral and being better accessible."
