Very cool, so where exactly did you mount that in you car?

i like the idea of having this sitting in my glove box just in case type shit, cus everytime a disty goes its in a situation where the able mechanic cant even fix it right there.

Definitely a big to Joe for his idea. I'm definitely thinking of a glove box add-on considering it's the simplest of things to do. Thanks, Ryan.

Re: The Joe Bialy GM Ignitor Replacement

2.5's esp 93-94 are prone to igniter failures, and the igniters are no longer available - and when they were they were hella expensive. The only fix now is a new distributor, however you can use a GM igniter for $12 and be up & running again.

Re: The Joe Bialy GM Ignitor Replacement

                          hmm.

i was originally skeptical of this solution, but now that i see a visual representation, i see what joe was talking about. looks like it should work just fine on the 93/94's and a lot less expensive than going with an MSD or other aftermarket ignition system.

personally, i like my MSD and wouldn't change a thing, but this is a good alternative to those who don't want to take the time to install one.

                          good job.

oh, changed the drawing to a link. over image res limit. sorry.

                              awesome work!

The problem with the ingnitor modules was that they would heat up and go bad due to proximity to the engine. Does the HEI module heat up too? Nothing a small heatsink can't fix though.

                              Mad props
