Three Week Budget Build Thread

I recently decided to see what it would be like to run my 03 Tacoma into a tree, needless to say it wasn't as fun as thought. I have been car shopping for awhile and stumbled upon a 1996 Probe GT with a ton of extras. So, I've decided to start my very own build thread!

I have until the end of May to build the car up to daily driver status with a few extras. I plan on doing so on a limited budget which I've set at $2000. With that I'll lay out some specs and a list of parts I plan to install.

1996 Probe GT, 5spd, ~120k, Loaded with peanut butter leather.
-OBX headers
-JJ Res TP
-Megan springs
-Manual Swap
-Unknown rims
-fidanza flywheel & stage 2 clutch
-Trans saver

Build Steps
1. Repair rear brake caliper and transports to garage
2. Pull motor & Dash, Swap 1994 Harness
3. Assemble Klze with new parts, swap springs/retainers, colt cams & 67MM TB, Clean up
4. Install motor, first start up, after first start fails search for short in wire harness
5. Start Modding!
6. Make it to Bamm!!!! for test drive..
7. Drive from Illinois to Oklahoma

Goals (Pipe Dreams)
-Run low 14's NA (below 14.4)
-Trap 98+ NA
-Run mid 13's on 75 shot

why are you swapping in a 94 harness? with your build plans, you would get alot more power just MAF converting the car using the existing harness.

and nice find. where did you find the car in IL?
