  • converting to h4

so im thinking of converting to some flea-bay blackout h4's.

im curious though , as to how you would change the bulb in one of these without actually removing the whole deal anywho.

anyone who has done this , let me know. its a toss up between this and the sleepy eye/halo style mod... i really like these...

yeah, you have to take out the H4 lamp to change the bulb. Its not like it takes more than 5 minute though.

a H4 swap is always better then just slapping in fog or whatever with a sleepy eye mod.
might as well go for it.

i do like the h4 , but i am concerned that the sleepy eye mod is growing on me...

i was concerned about the h4 conversions mainly because i just parted out hte 95 , and the bracket screws were pretty bad on it. i guess ill just have to get some replacement screws...

now all i need to do is find some different turn signals that will fit a gt bumper that is missing some light-screw posts...

i have used the fog lights/sleep eye mod and the h4 mod. i personally like the h4 mod better for the following reasons.

        1. easy to do
        2. good light output on my dark country roads

things i dont like about the sleepy eye/fog lights mod

        1. not enough light output imo
        2. didnt take long for the question "is your headlights broken?" to get old
        3. overall cleep riceish look

ok as for the turn signals. your gt bumper is missing some light screw posts as i understand your wording. this is a fairly simple fix. take some utility wire and use some 5min epoxy and epoxy the wire to the inside of the bumper where the posts should be. let fully cure. install turn signal lights running the wire through the mounting holes on the lights. then bend the wire so it will hold the light in. this is what i had to do to my aftermarket front end since it had zero mounting tabs for the corner lights. havnt had any problems with it done like this. plus this fix cant be seen from the outside so nobody can tell how it was done.
