  • aftermarket wheel with factory cruise

ok has anyone here installed the factor cruise control onto an aftermarket steering wheel? and no im not talking about just installing a factory wheel out of another car.

anyway i just finished my install for the most part. i do need to remake one of the brackets for the right set of buttons due to me trying to rush and get it finished quickly. i will post pics up in a day or two after i fix the bracket but in the meantime i just wondered if anyone else had done this.

I've been wanting to do that with a autotechnika wheel I'm eying. Seems to me you'd have to make the wiring connections through the hub(the one used for the horn)? Anyway,I thought of cutting out a hub bracket to hold the switches that goes between the hub & the wheel. Wheel screws would just go right through it.

you could one-wire it , with a multiplex circuit , to retain the original horn spin , but its more work than i thnk its worth...
