I want to paint the door panels and get a shift light

The shift light might be a cool idea, but when i bought my car the console was painted and the paint was starting to decay. So if you do paint the panels, make sure you put extra layers of clear coats and don't scratch them because paint can be a pain to remove. If you look at some of my threads you can see the big difference from the painted console to the stock console i got for four bucks at the junk yard ^.^
