I think that people who have never built a wire harness have absolutely no idea how much money or time it takes to make a wire harness! You should do as I have done and stop making them. There is no money in it -unless you consider your time to be worth less than minimum wage! Some people have no idea what it takes to keep wires from binding in elbow turns or what it takes to keep a wire from breaking off at the pin. Some don't even have an idea what a shielded wire is or how it is supposed to be grounded to prevent a ground loop that causes signal distortion. They have no idea what it takes to keep wires from chaffing. They just think that the red wire goes to the red wire and the blue to the blue etc... Then finish em off with electrical sticky fly trap tape and future rat treats!

I have been running one of piles harnesses for a long time and none of the codes thrown will put it in limp mode hurt power and or waste gas if yourcar is sufferingany of those symptoms with the swap its not because because of the harness and what map sensor are you talking about the boost sensor all that has to do with is the egr and the 1195 code will not make it go into limp mode also the price scott charges for his harnesses is very reasonable, i sell alot of used parts and my prices sometimes reflect supply and demand im not going to give away hard to come by pieces

That would be a big disservice to PT. Best to ignore someone that hasn't proven, disproved or purchased anything. Besides, if these don't get made anymore, "price gouging" or not, the price will go up for harnesses already out there.

I usually find things I need for my car, but sometimes only find 1 for sale and the price is pretty bad. I only have 3 choices really: Pay the man, wait to find another one, call junkyards. But for something like clips and other small bs parts, just use dealership if you cannot find aftermarket. I would never pay $100 for an interior trim, unless it's a mint condition door panel or dashboard.

In my opinion -the "bitch fest" should never have been started. If you want to bitch about prices -why don't you start bitching about how nearly all manufacturers are constantly reducing the number of items in a bag, reducing the size of the individual items, or reducing the quality of the ingredients/materials/craftsmanship? Why not bitch about how you can't even buy a bag of chicken any more that isn't 20% chicken, 40% gristle/fat, and the rest in useless filler breading? What about the stuff that fills up only 20% of the box space (using a 5 times oversized box to make it look like you are getting more for your money)? What about shoes that won't keep their soles on for more than a month?

Surely there has got to be a better thing to bitch about than someone selling a rare part for a rare car -because the (non-buyer) deems that the seller is asking too much for his parts -just because the non-buyer says so!

No need to get your panties in a bunch...FYI hunting for parts in the scrap yards is part of the fun times. I bought lots of ecu ends and torn open ecus myself, not difficult or expensive ($2-5 for the connector and I gut the ecu at the yard and pay the same for the ecus end). The soldering that takes 20 minutes? and the shipping goes into a flat rate box and off she goes (plus you live in the states, shipping is chump change compared to up here). You mean this harness right here that doesn't exist or function PROPERLY? http://s786.photobucket.com/user/Rya...tml?sort=3&o=0

As for talkin' shit you should be the last person on this site talkin' anything, as the truth will be proven with any doubts!!

I was referring to the people that bitch about the price of a harness. They have no clue what goes into one! I used to build high end harnesses after I built them for 20 years in the USAF. But when money started coming out of my pocket to build them for others -that is when I wised up and stopped doing it.

I stopped for the same reason why this thread is here. Too many people's arses are pinched far too tightly -so that even a faint vapor of a fart couldn't sneak out!

^^^ LOL...if only crimp on spade connectors were made that tiny. every single last wire on that harness I built was stripped, twisted around the pin and soldered on
