I bought a bag of chips not too long ago (can't remember the brand or type-but it was a huge air-puffed bag). When I opened it -there were 3 or 4 chips in it.
Stuff like that is what really chaps my arse about threads like this. Someone will take the time to bitch about a seller's price on PT and then does absolutely nothing every day when getting ripped off by the big guys. People loose far more money to food, products and services in everyday spending than they will loose on buying Probe parts in an entire year.
How many times do you get bad food these days from the store -but don't return it because it costs more money in gas to drive there to return it? I figure I get somewhere around $500-600 money loss on bad food per year (and increasing all the time).
I believe I buy at least 12 pairs of shoes per year that get floppy soles before a month is up. And I try switching up brands and such -only to get the same result. I find myself closely examining every shoe I look at in the store to determine if they are one of those that will loose the sole quickly. I often even go to the extent of trying to pull off the sole in the store to see if it is one of those pieces of crap shoes.
So -let's bitch about something more deserving of bitching about -instead of bitching at members here on one of the best resources on the internet for keeping the rare (and yet amazing) Probe preserved.Success is a measure of determination!

This has turned into a shitshow lol, close the thread I don't really care. My initial point was that there's a crazy amount of asshats asking BMW prices for Probe parts. People trying to ripoff the same people they're asking/getting information from. And I maintain that I don't think that's right. To those that asks reasonable prices for their parts, thank you. That's how it should be. Everyone getting their geriatric butts hurt because I made a thread about essentially not being a dick. And those begging for it to be closed but still returning to comment, thank you. This forum is dying. I was one who held out on joining facebook groups because I liked the community. Not anymore. And it's quite amazing how much more selection and innovation is taking place on the Facebook pages. Seriously.
PS- No one buys a new pair of shoes and breaks them in the same month, every month. If you do you're either lying or an idiot.

first off the reason the call for the closing of the thread is because most of us knew the end result would be nothing productive
as you see in this thread you made there was nothing gain and nothing solved the thread was doomed from the beginning
and as for you joining facebook who cares (BYE) cry me a river already
just like in this thread everyone has a right to do what they want
just like i stated before a seller has the right to sell a part for whateva he wants it's his part and his time he put into making that part of finding that part
you as a buyer has a choice either to buy or not to buy, if you feel a person is overcharging then don't buy it, find the part elsewhere or buy it new from the dealer
just like you have a choice to stay here or join facebook it's your choice, but don't say it like you think it hurts anyone here if you join believe me you won't be missed
now if your little feelings are hurt because no one cares if you go to Facebook oh well suck it up and move onLast edited by P1P; February 14, 2017, 11:04 AM.

Is something gained or solved from a ****ing post about a billboard? No but it sparks conversation so it's cool. Same thing here. Did I say I was going to stop using PT? No, just pointing out why it's taken over and how useful it is. You really are quite an arrogant prick.

Perhaps not as quickly -but still far sooner than should be expected when you invest that kind of money.
I think that nearly all will agree that the only one that is buthurt here is you from the very start of this thread that you should not have started!

Moral of the thread, there's a few things it's okay to spend more money on. Probes (or whatever you've moved on to,) shoes, and I'd like to add... better quality toilet paper and socks. Seriously. You ever been to a millionaire's house and they have scott tissue on the roller. **** those people.Probe out for Harambe

These days -there is nearly no brand of shoe -which is resistant to the sole peeling off. It is the glue and techniques they are using to be tight arses -which are not very effective. I know that I absolutely cannot be the only person that has the soles come off of shoes.
The shoes that I have had the best of luck with are ones that are glued as well as stitched through the upper and lower on the nose and on the tail. And it is very hard to find a pair of shoes that has the stitching.
The pair of shoes I have on right now have lasted longer than most other shoes I buy and I am at about 9 months on this pair -but the soles are now separating. I bought these at Wally World (which I normally avoid). But after having two pairs of converse tear up too quickly -I decided to go back to WW for shoes. I don't waste time or gas money going there to get them because I pick up shoes when I am shopping for other things.
Buying expensive shoes where I have to go to a specialized store and take extra time to do -is an extra expense. So your comment about "wasting money and time to go to Wally World to buy cheap shoes" absolutely doesn't make sense -when it costs me more to go to the specialized store to pay 6 times more than I pay for Wally World shoes.
And to pay 6 times more for shoes that last only about 3 to 4 times longer than Wally World shoes -also does not make sense! The money doesn't add up!Last edited by KLZE Porsche; February 14, 2017, 03:56 PM.Success is a measure of determination!

You can get decent shoes for $60-90, they'll last a year. Cheapo shoes with original cost, tax, gas, time spent shopping over and over it's not worth it. I've got a pair of Skechers about a year old now, and Timberlands about 10 months. Macy's, JC Penny, no place special. 3 out 4 times there's a sale running and I pay a little less.Probe out for Harambe
