Honestly I think this will be my approach, and that's allready trying har enough because I don't like to fly. Would love to go out there and just lend a hand with whatever anyone may need a hand with cause stuff breaks and all. I'll need a plain shirt and a sharpie, "probe mech on duty".

Talk about flying it was a crazy flight home thursday. I will see tomorrow if i can schedule that weekend and monday off at work so i can make it up therein august. I will be at the track before then though just to run my ranger and probe not sure about the stang yet.

just wanna answer a few things i read... someone said they want a photographer and videographer... my friend is a professional photographer/videographer and i can talk to him about setting up shoots and filming the dyno.. i also have another friend who does alot of photography work and is also involved in the car scene... one of them two would most liekly be willing to come out... ill gladly pitch in to feed them/room them for the day or two we are down there (im from nj so its only a 2 hour drive)

also 5 to 700 bucks ? how do your figure if the shows mabey 3 days hotels/motels have extremely cheap rates for groups and also weekdays (sun thru fridays) if people split rooms that comes down to mabey 40 to 50 a night.. its definitally feasable to spend up to 3 days down there for under 300 bucks as long as you dont go splurge on expensive food and huge rooms

i thought 5-700 was very reasonable.... depending on the group rate if your not sharing rooms your looking at 2-300 alone. 2-400 for food and misc broken parts. bring what you feel comfortable with though.

I think the average attendee could easily do the trip for under $500 driving solo and splitting a room, assuming you don't drink your face off and order a bunch of porn in your hotel room.

For most people going it's just a matter of a couple tanks of gas, and a hotel room for a couple nights. You'd be eating anyway so food cost is a bit of wash.

I figured like $150 in gas, give or take since your American gas is way cheaper then ours, couple hundred for hotel/motels and a bit for food. I was thinking 500 is reasonable...

Really hoping I can make it down to this. My cars far from a show car and definitely not a race car but it would be awesome to come down and see everyone elses work and meet the faces behind the forums.

This is the meet that will make me finish the black car. Worst comes to worst, I take the base model which gets better gas mileage anyway.

As long as I can afford it, and get the time off, I am absolutely IN.
