My only concern about the hotel we stayed at last year is because tony's car got broken into, and it's not in the best part of town. Don't get me wrong, I very much appreciate the help we got in getting it.....

I'm in 14 hours is not to bad. I'll probably have to trailer my probe but, well worth the gas. Is this something for the kids as well?

I think we should look into another hotel than the one we were at last year.

It seemed kind of ghetto and Tony's car got broken into as well. I don't think anyone wants to deal with that again.

There were some nice hotels around the Home Depot and Red Lobster that we could check into.

Almost anything in Council Bluffs will be crappy with regards to housing. If you do want to stay in there, you'd have to get the hotel/motels close to the Cracker Barrel off of I-80 exit #4 (Iowa side). Council Bluffs is pretty poopy IMO. Try to stay name brand as L|quid suggested. Just go 3-4 in a room if you want to save cash.

Otherwise, you'd be looking at Midtown Omaha (off 60th Street) before you get decent hotels again. In Omaha, anything east of 50th street gets seedy. The further west you go it gets nicer/richer. Omaha is seriously the place to be if you guys want to do things during the weekend or the days preceeding the event. Indoor karting, shotgun range/skeet, lots of malls, bars, dance clubs, 2 universities (Creighton University, and University of Nebraska at Omaha [UNO]), gun ranges, autocross events, speed shops, restauraunts, a nice downtown area.

I mailed out some recommendations to Damon for MAS03 with regards to housing and stuff to do, but I think OLOA got in the way of planning.

Damon is there a reason you don't hold it a little closer to june 1st? I supose that is two close to Medford, Maybe we should push medford back a little this year.

What do you think? I'm thinking that it would just be nice to have things a little warmer this year. I know what weather can be like back home and I'm a puss
