Another Hotel to Consider

Well, checking online the Hampton inn seems to be booked up now. Damn you early birds! Anyway, I was looking for hotels in the area and came across the Days Inn at 2104 N. Ocean Blvd. It's only about a 2min drive from the Hampton and there's ocean front available. I've already booked my room there and it's only about $120 for 4 nights. THis is for 2 double beds and 2 adults. It's a "5 Sun" hotel amung days inns ratings and from what I can see on the site it looks pretty nice.

I just thought I'd let people know about another hotel choice if they're interested. I'm hoping a few others will consider staying there too.

Did you CALL the Hampton? Checking online may not give you the best results. Definitely call them and tell them you're part of the NPON. See if they have a room for ya.

The Hampton is almost definitely not booked. We have a large block of rooms set aside for us. If I were you, I'd think about cancelling my reservation and joining us at the Hampton.

It'll give us more of a chance to drink together anyway

Thanks Hord. Man I'm starting to feel old.

The only thing is, with the Hampton, it's a little out of my price range for the trip. I'm looking at a lot of gas money, food and alcohol and I need to save money where I can. What does a room go for there anyway? Isn't it like $70/night? I may consider cancellling the reservations if the price is right. I am however going to be there for 4 nights so I have that to consider too.

I was thinking, if I don't stay at the Hampton, I can always party there with you guys and hop a cab back to my hotel, considering I'm still standing.

Maybe I'll give them a call tomorrow. It might have shown all bocked where we have some rooms set aside they're showing not available.

If you want to get a taste of the ocean as you wake each morning, the Sea Dip isn't a bad alternative. Only a few blocks from Broadway, they rooms that sleep up to six and apparently there is a hot tub on the roof.

We got treated VERY poorly by the "staff" at the FLEA Dip.

Ohio Probes will NEVER go back there again. And that is where I stayed for the last 2 Myrtles.

We're going Hampton Style this year. Already have my room reserved!

Word. The Hampton may cost a little bit more, but believe me when I tell you it's WORTH IT! It's such a great hotel. The facilities are really nice. Indoor pool, hot tub, sauna. The rooms are nice, the people are nice. Not to mention it's within' easy walking distance of everything. So when you get destroyed on saturday night, you just stumble your way back to your hotel. No worries about drinking and driving. And the best reason to stay at the Hampton is because that's where all the parties are!

not to mention the hampton has a bar, so you can start drinking right when you are signing in. it's fantastic!

Well, it looks like I'll be staying at the Days Inn. I can't afford to stay at the Hampton with only one roomate and the Hoser I'm bringing is afraid to stay with other people.

I don't get it b/c he's not shy or anything. He said some b/s about privacy. I think it's b/c he can get a suite for $25 through his work.

Oh well, at least I'll still be in Myrtle partying it up. I might just have to catch a cab back or stumble back seeing how it's less then 2 miles.

It's not going to work. I've tried. I actually had someone offer to room with us already. I'll keep trying though.
