  • Taking out cruise cause high idle?

    I had cruise on mind and I took it off an now it idles high so yesterday I pulled on the cruise throttle cable an it went up an down would that cable make it idle high I checked how tight the main cable is on the intake an it's normal is there anyway I can take out that cruise cable?

    Did you cap the vacuum lines that go to the cruise control when you removed it? If not, you created a vacuum leak and that is causing you high idle.

      Ya I put it on that vacuum bottle

        id check it and make sure its tight. a vacuum leak would be the first thing id be looking for.

          id look for a stuck cable from where you took off the cruise control, sometimes it will stick, also a vaccum leak would cause a lower/ rought idle
          95 pgt boosted 8 psi slowly tuning with help
          93pgt with 44k original miles sold...
