Nope. That was the Mazda KL only.

CORRECT..... now sally tell him what he's won!
ok so now being serious and not dellusional, the 1st gen V6s were shit. its the "vulcan" six from the taurus. wasnt great by any means.
it's not the fall that hurts, its the sudden stop at the bottom

No they were not shit. They are very reliable long lasting motors and a 1st gen V6 5 speed is even faster than a 2nd gen GT 5 speed.

Correct. And, all cars that used the KL series (93-97 MX6 LS, 92-94 MX3 GS, 93-02 626 ES, 95-02 Millenia) had VRIS.

agreed on the reliable part, very tough motors and any quirks they had were usually in the management somewhere...would have a hard time believing they would beat a 2g gt, as they are a much heavier motor and had relatively tall gears, but the one I had was surprisingly quick, but my finally healthy kl has so much broader a power curve...the 3.0 did have 230xxx miles on it though...

i still think it was shit. yeah, great motor, but just not what i expected out of the car. a better choice of a motor could have been made.

The 3.0 is definatly very reliable however not fast, I is almost a second slower to sixty than the gt's. Im sure with a few mods it could be just as fast, but as stated before, the gearing is slowing it down.

No. Not at all. They aren't awful motors in terms of reliability, but they're WAY slower than a 2nd gen GT. Where do you get your information?

vulcan probes are really there own car. there the only one's that actually feel like a ford product.

id rather have a n/a 2.2 then a vulcan myself.

Im not making anything up. I'm speaking 0-60 wise, not 1/4 mile wise. recorded time for 1990 Ford Probe LX V6 MTX 0-60 mph is 8 seconds and for 1993 Ford Probe GT MTX is 7 seconds, not really much of a difference. Ive seen 1st gen LX V6 MTX take 2nd gen GT's in a race a couple times. All cars were stock too.

Probably because its the only Probe ever made with an actual Ford engine. Didnt the 1st gens use Mazda transmissions across the board though? I barely know anything bout the 1st gens (they dont really interest me).
