    Ryan,
speaking of the O-ring, do you have its part number by any chance? I've taken mine apart and swapped the good O-ring from the other cooler and dont have any problems with it, just to have for a black day!

I opened the oil ports on the block after I spoke with Alistair from Interprep.
That's what he did to his KLZE engine, along with shimming the oil pump.
He said he raced his car, frequently hitting 8K RPMs, and never had a problem with a spun bearing.
I think I read somewhere that Alistair also participates in 24-hr endurance races.

It appears as though the KL engines went through a revision in terms of the oil port dimensions, after the first or second year.
IIRC, the oil ports on my KLZE were .375" at the bearing interface and tapered down to .270" into the block.
There was another member who measured the oil ports on his '94 KLDE and he said his were .400" at the bearing interface and .375" into the block.
I guess mine was an early KLZE.

My oil ports are now between .400"-.410" straight through.

        Rigs,

If you're referring to the red O-ring for the oil cooler it's

So, with larger gallies, and the shimmed pump, what is your oil pressure at idle, and say at 3k rpms as compared to stock?
