I don't know if others have discovered that there are late model KLZEs still coming out of Japan. I purchased one recently for $800 delivered. I haven't given it the full inspection yet -but just from a preliminary inspection -I can see many things about it that are unique.
Preliminary observations:
KLG4 style valve covers
KL31 long neck intake (possibly newer casting)
timing belt covers are new style moldings (never seen these before now)
newer KLDE casting heads vs KL31 (good move in my opinion)
I will post pics and info when I do a more thorough inspection later. I will be checking to see if the rear head casting has provisions for cam sensor mount like KLG4. These are not standard KL01 heads -nor KLG4 -nor KL31! They have the same type square top cam caps that the KLG4 and newer KLDE motors have.
Someone may have already made a thread about this and if so -then I am sorry for not searching. I don't have the patience or time to search thoroughly.
