I am planing to put motorcycle carbs on my KLZE for an upcoming project. I read a thread here where someone did the same thing. It would appear you can hard wire the stock distributor and it will run. I assume it would have no timing advance as that is handled in the ECU? Does a stock MX-3 V6 distributor (what I currently have) have mechanical advance as well as electronic, or is it only electronic. My car is in winter storage, so I can't figure it out on my own at this time. I am looking at the MSD Digital Programmable 6AL-2 Part No. 6530 http://www.msdignition.com/Products/...ble_6AL-2.aspx Looks like that would do the trick. Does anybody have an alternative idea? A few people have mentioned the Mega Jolt as well. As anybody sucessfully used this unit on a KLZE? (It is intended for a Ford EDIS). http://www.autosportlabs.net/MegaJolt_Lite_Jr. The MSD looks a little overkill for what I am doing as although I will race the car, I don't intend on using half of the MSD's capabilities.
