  • pcv valve for boost

I was told I have to much pressure in my motor I keep blowing cam seals and I blew my valve cover gasket. Is there something I can do to the pcv to help this pressure.I have a 94 probe klze straight neck with the klze curve neck intake on 8 psi please help.

yes, but apparently you will get an oil burning smell often this way. come to think of it im pretty sure my RVC is vented this way anyway and the front is plugged.

Are you interested in a super sweet solution? It'll cost a little more than a PCV, though.

If you remove PCV, the easiest way without getting oil smell in the car is, put a filter on the front PCV and a draft tube on the rear. The PCV valve has to be gutted for this configuration, otherwise it won't be able to take in fresh air. This also causes a small unmetered air leak, so if you aren't using something to compensate like a megaquirt you will definitely hurt your idle stability.

Otherwise, connect the rear pcv pre turbo, so it doesn't get pressurized and put a check valve inline with the front one.

So I can take my valve cover from my curve neck ze which there is no hole in the front it only has the top and back holes in valve cover then I won't have to mess with the front valve cover twice. Then just take the pcv valve out and put a filter there and a filter in the back and I'm done right

If you just put a filter, you won't draw any vaccuum. If you don't draw a vacuum you will get oil/gas smelling air into your cabin. Especially when you turn on your vents. The reason you put a draft tube, unfiltered or not, is to draw a vacuum when you drive to pull the fumes out.

I know some of the members here including myself use the mazda millenia S pcv valve. The mazda millenia S comes with a supercharged KJ engine and has a better pcv valve for forced induction applications. You can get the genuine oem millenia S pcv valve from mazda pretty cheap. I ordered like 3 lol.

Just make sure its for the Millenia S KJ Supercharged engine.

One more thing, are you still running your stock timing belt cover? A lot of members here have the timing belt cover either completely removed or at least partially removed where the cam gears run. By at least partially removing the timing belt cover around the cam gears you can then build small brackets that will hold those cam plugs in place and use the bolt hole from where your timing cover once was to secure the small brackets to hold the cam seal plugs in. That is what I did. Im not the only one on this forum who has had to do that so there should be a thread with pics around somewhere.

I too removed my timing covers long ago, installed a MilleniaS pcv valve, and made a small aluminum tab to hold down the cam plug. My rear cylinder head is vented to atmosphere through a small filter.

I've wondered this since I got my car running last year, right now I have both front and rear vented to a catch can, just in case I get stopped (again) by the MTO for a roadside check they cant say I'm 'dumping oil' to the atmosphere.

But I do occasionally pop out my rear cam cap a bit. So I could make a bracket to hold it in more securely and just vent the rear bank better to avoid this? I knew the venting was the issue but didnt know if it would be wise to make something to hold this plug in place a bit more securely.

I just have a mill S valve, front cam cover is capped off, rear is vented to a catch can.

I have small aluminum tabs to hold those cam plugs in place. Blew one out once, never again

                              1. You can run both the front and rear into the intake pre turbo
                              2. use the millennia s pcv valve and the opposite bank into the turbo inlet
                              3. Run filters on both sides
                              4. Drill a hole at an angle in the exhaust angled with the exhaust flow and have the pcv run into there. Although you don't hear people doing that much on road cars that's how a lot of race cars are
