Hose size Qs.

I'm looking up hose sizes on Ebay, and I honestly don't understand what this stuff means. I'm looking for about 15' of steel braided line, with the screw type fittings (flange fittings) in 1/4". Here's what I get:

Here is some new -4 x 15 foot braided teflon hose with -4/AN fittings on each end

What does that mean? Any help is appreciated...

-4 is the size of the line and fittings, you cant screw a -4 fitting on to a -6 fitting. I beleive most the kits you would use for our car is -4, im positive the zex is.
