I had to bring up this old thread...

Racey Stacy... if you would be so kind as to re-post the pictures, that would be great. All I see it the red "x".

5 PSI @ 70MPH sounds interesting. I'm trying to mod my Vulcan beast.

Close up view of the Twin 4" dia. scoop with a mesh screen. The screen has some miles on it.. so be kind...

      (2) 3" tubings connect to the back of the scoop and then join a 3" tee where (1) 3" dia. hose follows up the fender into the modified silencer section

At the top I took the top section of the stock tubing that connects to the box and cut it and joined the 3" dia. hose at this point and used the same rubber coupler and secured it down with hose clamps. When combined with a K&N filter you have a great system with much improved throttle response.

I will look for some more pics -- enjoy..!

BTW--- I can even set up a twin ram-air with (4)four 3" dia. hoses teeing into (2) tees then into (1) tee then up the fender. I've been wondering what kinda increase i would get with that set-up.. one of these days I'll try it. It's going to cost an extra $40-45 for it. Another thing that works here is this setup, is speed sensitive. As you go faster it works harder. The Ram-air effects are noticed at higher speeds. 5th gear is no longer a dog, for instance.
bump... pics do not work anymore...

I kinda doubt she'll post them up again. I asked for them a while back and no dice.

Thanks.. I did just think of that that right after I posted that question and I wanted to instantly delete it, (perhaps I should think more before I post)... but I had to jump away from the PC for about an hour.

I am going to have to try this... I might make the scoop look a little less obvious by sticking it behind the bumper, granted it probbably won't work as well but... better than the setup I have now.

Since the intake is right inside the fender, has anyone considered cutting up the fender itself and adding some side intakes.

I know this doens't jive with Stacey's bolt on preference, but thought i'd bring it up.

Do you have any issues with the hoses blocking part of the radiator?

we actually discussed this a couple of weeks ago when stacey was at her driving school. we're going to look at various different intake options.

barry, the hoses pose no airflow problems with the radiator. car runs at normal temperatures.

There is always a way to get the ramflo effect I have inserted a "reverse rolled" muffler tip into the front bar and run some piping from there to the sealed pod filter. I used proper CAI flexi piping to the pod and SS from there to the IM and the effect is pretty sweet and works quite well
