  • Goodbye Blackie

Another black 2nd gen rolls off to the crusher to ultimately become a pop can, yard rake, or cattle prod in its next life... And just so everyone knows that i didn't send it packin just for fun, i'll mention that it had the cancer bad underneath in the frame as well as the top of the strut towers in the back...

    Here's a few pics...

Lol you check the price of shipping from Canada for a shell? I would have used the fenders/caps/skirts but this little piggy's gone home. Where are you in the midwest 97?

I pulled quite a lot of parts off it and gave my POC members a chance to pick at it for cheap parts before it got hauled off... There was a bunch of random stuff in there, but lots got pulled out.

The skirts were all broken/cracked/etc. The Fender caps were glued on because their clips/mounting hardware was all buggered.

I was being pressured to get the car hauled away asap so the bylaw officer wouldn't fine us.

Still plenty of parts left, too many before scrapping, doors were still good, glass looks good, control arms, master cylinder, etc...

Should have picked it clean and then sold them on ebay or gave them away to another probe owner.

                        too late now!

people wonder why there aren't many good used parts anymore.

Probably because hardly anyone has the space to keep a disassembled Probe, and because a lot of people don't have time to hassle with shipping that same disassembled Probe all over the place. The Probe is a dying breed. Hopefully through communities like this one we can keep them around for a long, long time. However, we can't condemn anyone for buying a car simply to keep theirs going... he got what he wanted did what he could, and I'm glad another car will be better for it!

Sad to see another one go to the crusher but can't wait to see some pictures of the "good" car!

wow man, you could have sold a heck of a lot of stuff off that car. the ground effects look perfect, along with many other parts.

                            that makes me sad.
