Maybe a passenger? Look at how far the steering wheel is into the dash and look at the front seat. Or they may have just cut the roof of to remove the bodies.

It doesn't look like a front end hit made the driver smash into the steering wheel? Was probably smashed into the steering wheel from behind? Most of the rear end of the car is behind the drivers seat.

The front end is in fairly good shape. But it looks like the front end was pushed under another car/truck. The round indention on the front fender may be from the tire of the car it was under?

The "ACV" part of the listing is typically the average blue book value of the car prior to the incident. It's just an indicator. It's not the asking price.

It stands for Actual Cost Value, and it's what the insurance company determines it is worth in terms of total replacement value.

ACV listing is typical of all auction sites.

Sure it will. It's worth about that much at least in scrap metal - that's where the auction house make sure it turns a profit on almost all vehicles that it sells. If it doesn't sell, then it gets scrapped and they make at least that much $$.

Damn. Anyone else thinking that one was a 94 SE with a KL swapped in? The round muffler with a single tip (GT has oval with a split tip), and the Mazda marked valve cover caught my eye.

It may well be a ZE swap, but VIN decoder says it's a GT. Probably just an aftermarket exhaust.

No. That is an aftermarket replacement muffler, and someone put the "Mazda" valve cover on it from a 626 V6/MX6 LS....its a popular thing to do to Probe GT's, ive personally done it a few times.
