Parent of the GT/SE 2nd gen?

Looking back to the mid/late 80's,my son showed me something I forgot about that the 2nd gen Probe looks to have borrowed heavilly from. Here's a couple videos of the Nissan MID4,the car Paul Neuman raced in wide body form for Neuman/Haas.

I think the Probe GT/SE looks a heck of a lot like this car. Too bad it wasn't even more like it!...

I love the look of the front end and the sides! The rear end looks too flat and wide for my liking though. Needs different wheels too. Nice find though
