I pics are kinda out of order but...
The bottom one is of an FC RX-7 control arm made to work for a BG but since the arms are shorter and can't work as is, I had to order some extended RX-7 ball joints normally used by the drift crowd to get the correct length which is the top picture. The arms use modified urethane bushings but I have a guy currently working making spherical bearings for them. The second picture is of some used Good-win racing rear Miata 2-piece sport rotors to replace the single piece rotors I had before. The 3rd picture is me making a brake caliper bracket to mount Wilwood dynalites to some Kia BG knuckles. The bracket I made from a kitchen cutting board and used it to transfer measurements to paper to make a real set of brackets to also go with some 11" Wilwood 2 piece front rotors.

I was going to say you should be able to get an offroad tune from mazda that doesnt have an imobilizer. Also some tuning software can turn off the security system, i did this on a 03 cavalier ecu with hp tuners to make it run the f2t

I think I have decided to run an Emerald K6 ECU rather than anything OEM.

That's not bad at all. I'm assuming that is for 1 side. If so that's almost 10lbs of weight savings. Nice job

Yes that is for one side. After I factor in the Kia front knuckle, Wilwood caliper and 2 piece rotors, it will be 10lbs per corner or slightly more. May go even further on the weight savings with some Volk Te-37's.

I also saved a few pounds off the back with 2 piece rear rotors, and possibly more with some rear wilwood calipers after I make sure that will work.
