O2 sensor..

My has had a serious lack of power, like really bad. So on the way to my shop i get a CEL, i pull in they pull the codes. I have a bad up stream sensor and its causing my car to run lean. Running lean is making my car run like shit.

I have been planing on going to the MIPOC meet but now i dont know if i wanna drive all that way without a good o2 sensor. I scared of the effects it could have on my car.

they quoted me 365.00 for a new sensor!!!..
are they supposed to cost that much?

you will be perfect with a bad o2 sensor man, i think almost all of us have had them go bad on us, i had a bad one for 6 months, it didn't do anything wrong, just runs a little rich. you can get a new sensor for like 50 bucks, then you can either do the install yourself, or have a mipoc dude do it for you. it's easy, you would get ripped off if you paid those idiots that said over 300 bucks
