Not really sure what I want to do with it yet... Kinda torn between parting it out and putting a regular 2.5 in it that has been freshened up with maybe a nice set of cams...
Well that sux. Good thing is if you decide to part you've got enough there to recover what you have in it. I'd probably drop a ZE in it....KLZE. That motor was so clean.

Yea but ZE's have their own bag of issues. If I don't part it out I will go with a a-spec 2.5L and clean up the heads. Maybe add ZE cams if I find some cheap. I just have to find a good 2.5 now
I found a few more KF-ZE's for around $600... I'm probably yankin this one tuesday (provided I get my hoist back) so we'll see whats up then... I'm thinking that is the best way to go since I can pick the best parts off of both motors and sell the other stuff and make up a big chunk of my expense...)
We shall see... I don't know if the KF-ZE if an interference engine though... might be in for some 240esque carnage... sumr... i'm lookin at you...
Aside from teh valve springs/retainers what other issues do you speak of sir?
the hla's suck more than the de ones. And id have to switch everythig up again haha. I think I will just get another kfze and roll with that. Maybe switch up the cams and megasquirt it. Mine was running really rich.
