I've owned quite a few Rotarys, never had one break down.

The 97 Accord is the daily so the RX can stay young and healthy, and so I can do more extensive stuff to it as it won't be my only car anymore.

I'll be the backup plan then. Sure it's a strut? Probably wouldn't be a bad idea to change at least 2....also if it's making a creaking/rattling noise on bumps/turning it's probably the bearing plate up top. Just throwing ideas out there since there isn't much info to go off of. We've got a strut spring compressor at work so once it's off the vehicle it's just a matter of minutes to swap out.

See above. But yeah, she's had shop quotes so I'm assuming she's sure it's a strut. Pretty sure she's having R do it this Thursday morning since she's already in Greenville right now. If that falls through for whatever reason I'll holla.
