In all seriousness it's actually a nice car (if the suspension was fixed so it didn't handle like a yacht).

Actually kinda wondering about Dale.

Either way it's super sad. There was one neighborhood I drove by, low income, the cars were completely covered up to the window. The next day it dried out and I saw people with couches and furniture out to be picked up for the trash... so sad.

Yea it was pretty crazy down there. My brother is still down in Columbia and there were people on his street who had water into their house. If I remember correcy, Dale lives on the high side of the outskirts.

It's so sad, the amount of damage done is just mind boggling. My neighborhood was unscathed, fortunately. We didn't have running water for a couple of days but it came back on yesterday.

I guess probably none of you have really been around here for a few years so I doubt you're familiar, but the area where Rosewood meets Garners Ferry has come a long way with development. They JUST finished remodeling the kmart that sat abandoned for years into a whole shopping center with a Marshall's, Michael's, and a Petsmart that literally just opened in August. The old run down Jersey Mikes had just been remodeled completely. All of it destroyed. Who knows how long it'll take them to fix everything, if they even bother... a Title Max building collapsed (crappy building, crappy business, but still), Subway flooded out. That whole intersection turned into a lake, swallowed a bunch of cars including two BMWs and a Mercedes. An SCDOT worker died in the flood waters there too.

Nevermind the incredible loss of homes in Forest Acres around Lake Katherine. So terrible.

I can't even really understand how any of it happened in the first place.

Yea I was just down there a month ago and saw all the stuff that had come up. My brother ended up buying a house like 2 blocks from where we used to live.

That's the problem with Columbia being a bowl on much of its sides from an elevation perspective combined with all the water that's around it. Combine that with more rainfall in such a short period of time (after a dry period so the ground is hard and wolnt absorb any of it) and all you get is a city wide lake.

It was even getting bad in Greenville for a little while.
