I haven't been to Columbia much lately even though it's only like 1.5hrs away

The Harbison area is nice, it's where I live. Columbiana Centre is the nicer mall in Columbia which is located in the Harbison area. There are some decent places to eat. Rush's is a good fast food place that is Columbia only. Za's Brick Oven pizza downtown has amazing food.

Finlay Park is downtown and is a nice place to relax. There are some homeless people that hang out there in the back corner but they usually don't bother you, they just sit on the swings and be homeless.

5 Points and the Vista are good places to go if you are looking for some nightlife, also downtown.

Myrtle Beach blows donkey balls, definitely don't waste your time going there unless you're looking for a trashy touristy beach town.

It's because she is wrong.

Granted it does have a different feel to it than the Oregon coast or beaches such as Ocean City, MD but it's not just some trashy touristy place. It has some VERY nice areas so long as you don't have tunnel vision and stay just in little area with the Gay Dolphin, Ripley's and such. Although I do love me some Ripleys.

I would normally enjoy Charleston more, but would not kick and scream if I was taken to MB.
