well... yea.. even after i swore up and down that i would not do ANY racing until my motor was built and boosted...

here i am.. following jorge and sean down to the next spot.. and what da ya know.. me and sean are at a light.. green.. we both roll off easy. and then jorge is on the left of sean(im on the right) and then boom we talk off.. bang it into second.. chirp the tires.. bang it into third.. it banged alright.. then crunched.. then sean and jorge go buss lengths in front of me.. im hearing a clunking noise.. and i hit gas again... but get no forward movement... ****!!! so i roll into a parking lot.. jorge follows.. and we do some investigating.. sean comes back and we find out its only 3rd gear thats gone.. i have all the others.. but it clunks while in motion... and smells...

how long can i go on with it clunking....

guess now i can go ahead and do that escort guts swap..

How did this become my fault?? Because I popped third on mine a little while back. With third gear just kinda banging around in your trans it seems a little risky. I swapped a new one in mine the next day after losing third.

I thought hearing the big bang in 3rd was kinda fun. But we also had a couple transmissions sitting in the garage ready to go.

I suggest you visit www.car-part.com if you guys don't have one locally.

I think it might be free until like 11PM or midnight. I'll have to check. I'm so far removed from the scene these days that unless it's a few select clubs in Orlando I don't know too many people. Only one of my notable DJ friends still plays big events. And that's like once a year. I like to call myself retired. Haven't turned on my tables since march.
