hmm. common sense tells me that at the very least, you are going to need:
screwdrivers (standard/phillips)
pliers
sockets/ratchet wrenches (both 1/2" and 3/8" metric, standard and deep)
pry bar
maybe you'll need the socket to remove the shafts, but i don't think so. you should be able to get away with just removing the bolt holding down the steering knuckle to the ball joint/control arm and then swing that out of the way when you pull out the shaft.ProbeTalk is BACK! Once again, it's what you use the Internet for!

well first of all looks like i'm gonna be out of town this weekend with Mi Familia.
pulling the tranny is gonna require some special stuff. a pitch fork looking thingy that you need to either pry the drivers axle out or pry the outer tie rod from the steering nuckle. all kinds of sockets and ratchets. wrenches(sears). big mallet(harbor freigh). prybar(sears),swear jar(k-mart). theres alot of stuff that needs to be removed when doing it on the ground.1993 Mercury tRacer :Vitara & mFactory: In progress 2020

Rob, my freind, i think its better that u have a shop do the work on your trans. #1 why? casue it dosent look like u understand what work is envolved in pulling a trans. #2, agian it dosent look like u understand what work is envolved in pulling a trans. pay an extra 300$ and have a shop do it. will save u some migrainsRED 2011 Mazdaspeed 3 you can say it's the MX6 replacement.

Then I can no longer use my Mom's car to get to work. If I don't find anything this sunday I'll be down for next week as well.1993 Mercury tRacer :Vitara & mFactory: In progress 2020
