  • Idle Problems

I was trying to adjust my idle today with teh little screw on the throttle body and when I put it in drive and adjusted it so it was at 750RPM, I put it in park and it went up to 1,500RPM and stayed there. So I adjust it so it is 750RPM and park and the idle in drive drops to like 300RPM. How the hell do I adjust the idle right?

Did you ground the STI connector first? Just asking, cuz sometimes I forget:grin:

your supposed to adjust the idle in park, not drive, it is normal to drop down once in gear, but it should not be that drastic. i'm with the bloodsucker....ground the STI

There is something called the STI connector on a small underhood wiring harness. @ least on my car, it's not the one closest to the drivers side firewall which also includes 2 connectors. But it's the set slightly further away more towards the passenger side. It's the black(on mine) single electrode clip and you just ground it(with aligator clips and a wire[that's the easiest way]) to the strut tower) Get or look @ a chiltons/haynes manual if you need more of a description. Sorry if I just confused you more:grin: Lata!
