    Solenoid part #

    Called the local retar..um.. I mean Ford dealer today to ask what the price was on a VRIS solenoid. The guy told me to find a part number. (In my opinion it should be his job to find a PN for me... not the other way around.) Anyone know off the top of their head what it is?

    If not I guess I'll just have to take the part in and show it to him but I really don't want to have to do that.

    True, you really don't want to have to go to Ford for the part. If you do take plenty of Poly Grip for dentures so you don't have to pick them up off the floor when they give you the price. :sad:

    Best bet is to try the For Sale / Wanted forum. Guys are selling them all the time or go to a salvage yard and get used ones. Either of these wold be preferrable to buying new from Ford.

      I just paid $71 at the local Mazda dealer for one, Ford wanted $94 for it. Don't remember the part#, the Mazda and Ford guys were nice enough to look it up for me.

        heres the part # from mazda:K80118741 I paid $71.76 for mine plus tax of course
