  • airbag fuse?

is there some sort of fuse that will eliminate the airbag light from comming on? or just disable the whole system. Or will the inspectation place just hook up a diagnostic computer to the engine and find out. Tryin to save a couple of hundred dollars. thanx.

If you disable the system, the light will come on. That's what that light means, just like the ABS light. I don't know off the top of my head how to access codes on these cars.

the airbag codes just flash out all the time, what code are you getting? trust me with this the easiest way to eliminate the airbag light from coming on is to fix the reason its coming on!

im getting code 51 when i push the connector in firmly. but, when i do some driving for a little bit, i get code 13. I know i need to get rid of 13. code 51 isn't really a big deal to me (all you do is replace module). but if i have 13 when i replace, it will just happen again. any advice on what might be causing code 13?

13 - Air bag circuit or crash sensor shorted to ground

dont know, you may have to look for a wiring short somewhere, does it always come on at a specific time or at a specific place? (its probably just random)

You need to diagnose code 13 first. Otherwise you will keep wasting airbag modules. If it detects a short or other serious fault that could accidentally deploy the bags, the module will blow the thermal fuse inside of it. If you don't fix the other problem you will just keep going through modules.
