  • Clutch bleeding problems

Alright well i just got another KLZE...and im getting it all together....so me and a friend were trying to bleed the clutch line tonight and it would only get a little bit hard....it would never get really hard....I didnt get a new clutch....i just reused my CM2 and got my mx3 flywheel resurfaced.

    here is what we did...

    New slave cylinder
    bled all 4 brakes
    bench bled the master cylinder
    tried to bleed the clutchline

it would never get hard though like there is something wrong with the clutch master cylinder.

Do you all think it could be something to do with the throwout bearing?

    I dont have any idea

    Thanks

    Jim

clutch bleeding neeeds patience ... Take time !

Bench bleeding is good to pre-charge the slave, thus saving bleeding time. All you've done is in the rules.

To assist bleeding the clutch, put a block of wood between the clutch fork and the engine, so that the clutch fork won't move when you press on the pedal; this will allow you to build up some pressure in the system, and aid in the bleeding process.

Do like KevinD says. Pump pedal several times and on the last pump keep the pedal on the floor and brace it with wood. Now crack the bleeder screw and close it. Repeat many times and about time you give up you'll start to feel resistance. Keep repeating and resistance will build up.

Keep an eye on the reservoir as there are 2 chambers inside. One for brake and one behind it for the clutch (They are both inside the reservor)
