P1345 is for the camshaft position sensor, which is located inside the distributor.

Check both plugs on the distributor. If they look OK, chances are the distributor will need replaced. And NO, the HEI mod won't fix this problem

Another possibility is that the PCM could store this code if the timing belt were broken... since it would be getting a good signal from the crank position sensor but no signal from the cam position sensor (cams aren't moving). So, probably should check that first.

I had the distributor replaced twice with the ford certified mechanics and I still get the code P1345, so does that mean one of the two plugs that plug into the distributor are bad?

Ive the same code that you have.

But ive although a loss of power, and my top speed is about 125mph.
AND, ive some bucking above 6000rpm.

            Check the following

            Test one

            Test two

            Vehicle Harness connector

            Good luck
