Washer Pumps Failing

So this is kind of a weird one, but for the last 2-3 years I've been going through at least 3 washer pumps a year. I just put it up to being crap aftermarket ones, but they die before the warranty is up so I just go back and get another for free.

Today I put a new one in and had to use it... got 2 'squirts' out of it and then it stopped, done.

Anyone else have any issues with front washer pumps dying? Is there a trick I'm clearly missing here? Wiring looks good, nothing is corroded or broken.

Are they getting clogged with crap floating in the tank?

Tank is clean and the pumps never have anything lodged in them.

I cleaned up the contacts again, and 'tapped' on the bottom of the pump and it started to work again. In the past the pump has been completely toast, but this one seems to be just temperamental and need some persuasion to spin.

Maybe it's the wires going to the pump and it corrects temporarily when you mess with it.

Check your voltage coming out of the connector. That is about the only thing separate from the pump just failing to check.
