Looking at the option of building a hybrid i decided it was eisier to go KLZE. I have a line on a complete engine. I am now trying to figure out what to do for ECU and the VAF and if the KLDE distributer will work (I have the external coil mod) More questions to come that are not covered by the KLDE to KLZE info thread.

Yes you can use the DE disty cap you have on the ZE, i assume there is no issue getting your DE cams reground to whatever spec, im sure most people would rather retain ZE cams than DE cams. HLAs on the intake side of the ZE are larger then the DE so id just keep your ZE HLAs and clean them. Dont know much boit the SLA swap sorry. Yeah use DE retainers and even springs.Supercharged - 94' PGT: ZE, MS2, W/M Injection, weight reduced, manual steering because weekend race car! mods and pics thread

I am using a DE disty everything else ZE, so just hookup your mods the way they are once the engine is in. I'd try it out as a complete ZE first. The only thing I might change is the IM, for fun, and just to compare them. Reminds me I've got to port that klg4 manifoldProbe out for Harambe

Good luck with the swap. I may have to go to a ZE someday too. We're dangerously close to winning class B in Lemons ( two PUY penalties stopped us from winning B at our last race ), and if that happens, we'll need more power to compete in class A.95 Probe GT -- 24 Hours of LeMons race car!
