      • Will this affect compression any? I have the ZE and would be interested in the ones for this motor. I am also getting the EPROM chip from you for the ZE. With the mods I have below and your chip and cams, what WHP would you estimate? Thanks

Since you have a ZE heads(intake HLA are larger than exhaust HLA) I would recommend the cams I have in my ZE engine.

The cams I have in my ZE have the following spec:
          0.363" lift, 206.4deg@0.050" intake cams
          0.353"lift, 208.6deg@0.050" exhaust cams

The price for this grind is $475US but I'm willing to offer it for a better deal if you dyno your car with the stock ZE cams, than redyno the car with this grind and provide me the dyno plots. What do you think?

I would think you'll hit 183+whp if you're producing around 175whp right now. Having a bored TB to 64mm would help with all the combo you have.

          • Cams for sc

I read a while back that you had cams that where designed for supercharged apps. Are these still available? what kind of increases will I see with them?

              Yes, they are still available.

The cams for the supercharger or high NOS are the following:
              0.352" lift, 205deg@0.050" (intake cams)
              0.353" lift. 208.6deg@0.050" (exhaust cams)

This is what you call a dual-pattern cams. Intake and exhaust cam lobes are different.

The price for those is $450US. These cams can be installed in a natural aspirated engine without any drawback. Idle will still be at 675-725rpms. Peak hp with ZE IM should be about 6450rpms, about 4whp more than ZE cams. ZE cams peak at 6200rpms with ZE IM.

I'm willing to offer these cams at a better price if the following conditions are met. A dyno run with ZE cams or 03 cams prior to installing these cams(with boost or NOS and natural aspirated), and a dyno run with these cams(with the same boost or the same NOS and natural aspirated). This needs to be performed by the end of November.
Basically I need a KL engine that runs on a supercharger, and another KL engine that runs nitrous above 85 shot. Serious inquires only.

If interested email me at mikeseli@info-internet.net

                    Jay.

I noticed that you're a Turbo Member. These cams are not for turbocharged KL engine.

i don't actually have a turbo, it's just a speaker under the hood that makes a BOV sound when i shift. found it on ebay......it said i could get double digit hp gains, so i tried it.

                        • Few ?'s

                          First off! Good work!

Do you increase the overlap at all to help with the header scavenger effect? (Sorry, numbers in "cam"ese don't make sense to me) Wouldn't it be prudent to use the ZE fuel curves on a ZE especially with an agressive cam, such as yours? Are you saying that because the radius of the cam is decreased that the HLA "pumps" more therfore it fills up more?

After I get the ZE running and broken in, I just might be sending $$$ and some old 03 cams...

                          I lika da NA powa!

                          • Mike,
Just curious if you ever determined whether or not we have to use ZE cams to get the regrind done or if my 93 klde cams would suffice. HOw many regrinds have you done for a ZE?

I believe yours on your car are a regrind, but did you regrind ze or de cams?

I'm still interested but weary of grinding different cams.

Nick, the only one that has the grind for ZE heads is myself. I used KL-03 cams, and sold my ZE cams.

I thought stingray77 was using them???

If that's the case then I may still be up for them...I'm installing new ze heads(totally rebuilt with all new valves and springs, seals) and I'd like to do the cams at the same time..hmmm...
