  • Ghetto colored needles

I know the DSM guys do this, that's where i got the idea. What if you took a marker and colored over the white needle? just wondering if anybody had tried it on a probe...

It's been done... I used the red sharpie.. PNW member has it on sticky on the PNW site I believe.. You should try it.. it's pretty cool at night..

Mine are orange at the moment. Match my pillar gauges.

Used a Sharpie and about 2-3 passes on each needle.

The needles were done using a sharpee marker in red, and the rest is done using coloured theater gels after removing the stock green tint from the reverse side of the guage face. It was a royal pain in the ass to do, but it turned out quite well IMO

Here's some more shots to give you an idea

In this pic you can see the rest of the interior colour change, the Buttons below the HVAC controls were done by purchasing new bulbs from radio shack and using a stained glass spray paint that I picked up at Canadian Tire. It maches well with the rest I think.
