I had a 2006 mazda6s grand touring, and im 150% sure it would give any BMW 3 series or Mercedes c class a run for it money in the "luxury" department. Most 3's and c classes don't even have xenon headlights, to me it just a name for the money.

So far I've found an 03 camry with 103k for 6700 and an 05 civic with 78k for 9000

I can't decide at all on what I should get. In other news, my wife won't talk to me because I decided a BMW isn't the car for us

Contrary to popular opinion, I do have mechanical sympathy, I always feel sorry for the cars I drive.

Any thoughts on these? I'm going to test drive both after work

            Here's the civic

Fellow Oregonian! That civic looks good and will suite your needs well. The interior is blah for me, and the price needs major negotiating. I would start at 7000 and see if they jump. 9k seems high to me, but what do I know.

Need a mechanic? I am out of Boring, OR and would give you special PT discount.

German reliability is a myth... Toyota, Honda, Nissan, Mazda... For $10k you ought to be able to get 2005 or newer with around or under 50k miles easy for any one of those.

Well help me find a car then!

2005 is about the newest I can find for under 10 for a 4 door automatic with low miles. The one I posted yesterday was a better deal. Cheaper price and less miles, but it sold before I could even get off work

Anyone, please feel free to look at Portland craigslist for me

Ya, it is pretty much useless for me to look for you since you know exactly what your wants and needs are.

Whatever you decide to buy though, if it breaks. I can fix it ;-)

The most reliable, cheapest to fix, 4 door sedan with an automatic transmission, that i can find, that costs under 10k

I live in Beaverton BTW. I might get ahold of you. My 2001 jeep grand Cherokee is leaking coolant really slowly. I have to top it off every few weeks

Wow a Honda with no miles on it and leather, now this is a good deal. I would offer 4500ish to start, its worth what he is asking though.

This one doesn't do much for me, but it does have only 25k on it...

Wow! That Mazda looks awesome. I think I need to be patient and find something like that. The civic looks like it might have been molested by the fast and furious crowd, but I didn't look that hard. I don't think I'd be interested in a Hyundai

Dont confuse Hyundai of the 80's, with the current generations. Its a totally different company since the newer president took over in the late 90's. They truly are more reliable then most Mazda's anymore. I drove a Tiburon as a daily from 02-06 after always working on my Probes. And have owned a 2009 Kia Sportage (re-skinned Hyundai Santa Fe) since new, and already has over 220K on it without a single problem. I dont even want to get into all the parts my Mazda's have had replaced in that time.

If you dont care about sportiness, and just want a cheap, hella reliable car, Hyundai/Kia's are one of your best bets in my eye's.
