im gonna grab some vids tonight of some launches... im trying to get my launches down 100 percent by next season since ill be using spray and a built klze lol

just snatched a video.... i was trying to do it on the empty roads near me but when ever i went to launch a car was coming around the corner so i said **** it and went on the road that has houses... for some reason there was no cars at all on this road lmao it was frustrating considering i drove to 5 spots and there was alot of traffic and its ****in 11:30 pm.... anyway heres the video.. i think i launched nicely.. besides the fact that im still slow... and i started having a bouncing idle today out of no where.... w/e enjoy feel free to give me tips/criticise my launching and shifting

spray and the ZE are going to be totally different to launch with..especially if you intend on spraying out of the hole..

hehe, spray out of the hole.....

back on topic: i launch between 3000-3500 with a wee bit o' spin. i've got continental extreme contact DWS tires, and they hook like monsters. Albeit, when i do launch, it feels like the engine is trying to rotate through the firewall (bad rear mount)

                6500 - 7k RPMs ...

                ...

                in the FD.

Probe, I used to launch right around 4k while releasing the clutch somewhat sharply and modulating the throttle to keep traction, IIRC.

my rear mounts blown too !!! lol its got an rr insert... but im sure thats not doing it any justice... i heard my clutch slips alot... mabey its time to go stage 2 with a lightweight flywheel lol weiss thats the same thing i do when i launch i never get a good launch when i try to feather clutch and gas only when i dump the clutch and feather the gas... balencing between the 2 always makes me slip second bad :\

The way I have always done it, is to modulate the clutch and gas to make sure I get moving, then I pretty aggressively get into the gas pedal. You are going to spin some in all likelihood, so you are better off just spinning some than trying to be too careful and babying the car through the rest of 1st. But I always make sure that I get moving before I let the car start spinning/before I really lay into the gas.

Yep, you always get the best launches while spinning slightly, but not losing *too* much traction.

i've got an AWR mount to put in the rear, almost had it installed till i couldn't get the through bolt out because the powersteering hard lines are in the way i wonder how many more launches it can take before something bad happens hehe
