ROFL. Yeah you're often at the mercy of those emission test guys. I have a friend with a '00 Miata with a 5.0L conversion. I forget how long they make you wait before retesting when you fail, but he did nothing but wait and go to the same testing center until they gave him the IM240 test the 4th time and passed no problem.

Theoretically yes. The easier way would be to use a manual ECU.Jim K.
