why have these type of parades or festivals? why not? we do have parades and fesitvals for most 'ethnic' holidays and religous occasions do we not? why not have them for gay pride?

does it hurt anyone? no.

heck, they've got a pretty big one down here in long beach that i've considered going to, just to see what the hubub is about. i have spent much time up in san francisco and i have an uncle who is gay, in fact, he is my godfather and i happen to love him very much. this is not to mention the fact that one of the co-owners of this board is bisexual. that's right, stacey is bi and i happen to love her very much.

if i were as closedminded as people claim me to be, i would never have accepted her in any circumstance.

so there's no reason for anyone to fear homosexuals. what everyone else should fear are people like [dsa]nully, who think the solution is violence and exclusion.
