    • Dusty found a caged one with a silvia front conversion and full coilover setup (the real kind) for $1500. Oh yeah, and it ran too.

              • Roger. Saw you had a MX3, thought I could get a sale.

There have been a few in the junkyard here but none now. How much of a power increase is just a G4 intake?? Seems like a pointless mod to me and they are far uglier than all of the rest.

                • Not sure on the horsepower, negligable at best most likely 5 or so but better air flow for sure and a couple of extra inches of space around my brake booster. Not to mention it would be easier to swap over with G4 valve covers to eliminate more un needed pcv hoses and oil dumps for the intake.

It will keep me happy until I can afford an ITB setup.

                  • Agreed on the 5 horse difference... Copy on the valve cover breather tubes too. They are desirable as long as you're not boosting and pressurizing the crankcase though.

                    • All I need is a reducer coming off the turbo for the 1G now. I should be able to get one at Lowes, then she'll be ready to run again. Devised a different solution for my oil drain, so *hopefully* I don't get too much smoking on decel....We'll see.

P.S. Working your turbo pretty hard, eh? Holds 20psi well though.

                          • First gen runs...have an oil leak, which appears to be coming from the center section, right by one of the turbine exhaust bolts. Wonderful.

                            Otherwise, seems to run well.

                            • According to my tuner thats a tuning technique. Its 12.0-11.7 until high in the rev band.

                              • Yeah, a tuning technique called "keep it rich so it will never blow up" It's the same theory most manufacturers use to guarantee nothing will go wrong.
