  • My Probe, Then to now

The week before my 16th b-day my dad brought home this

It wasnt what I wanted at all, I had hoped for a civic as a 16yr old with a ricer mentality but it was a car. After Driving it for a year my Dad and I started minor body work fixing dents and dings in preparation for fresh paint and then disaster struck, i was t-boned by an excursion who ran a red light.

This is what was left of the car, the hit was on the passenger side luckily. We completely stripped the car of every useable part to put to use on this beauty that I picked up for $300

It had no engine and as you can see had multiple color body panels. It was someone elses project that they gave up on so i gladly picked it up. Then the real work began....

    Painting the engine bay black

    Freshly rebuilt KLDE

Finally got the engine in, now time for paint, so after months of body work the first line of paint goes on

    then some more...

    and more...

    finally done...pretty much

all put back together and freshly painted!!!!!

then it was time for new rims and a mach 1 lip

Then it was time to get low, unfortunately i dont have pics of the yonaka coilover install. This is a pic of the front after...

And finally after drooling over stanced cars and saving my monies i purchased better offset wheels! yay!

And this is how the car sits now...

I just wanted to post some pics of the progression my car/s has taken. I am not extremely active on here but i think its nice to know what people have been through with their cars so now you know my story. I have learned so much in the last 3 years and have grown to love the probe. It helps when you have a dad who is a master mechanic and has about 35 years experience. He has taught me so much and I'am thankful. Dont be fooled though 90% of the work done on this car was by me with his supervision.

    some future plans:
    -ATX-MTX swap
    -Boost
    -Rear seat delete/false floor
    -AutoPower roll bar install
    -Black interior swap

    Thanks for looking!

Excellent The paint is great, even tho i prefer black or white. I would have gotten white rims but not all have same taste. I would suggest painting the calipers into the same color as the body.

Looks good. Looks like all you have left to do body-wise is adjust the panel gaps. Are you going to go turbo eventually?

Looks awesome, the paint is really nice. The stance looks great, its exactly what I want to do. I have the mach1 lip waiting to go on, and plan was for coils this summer but I think I'll put that on the backburner. Colleges eats money not to mention super low in Canadian winters isnt too smart (and Im not paying for an alignment twice a year if I have to adjust coils)...

yes indeed, i got rear ended christmas weekend so my rear bumper is in need of repair but nothing to bad, i picked up a bumper at the jy and ill paint it when it warms up the get the lines perfect. Turbo will come after the Mtx swap. its an auto at the moment.

thank you! the paint was very frustrating as it was my first time painting a car and by my own admission im very anal about my car but it turned out ok. There are a few spots that you can see up close id like to fix but overall im happy. Yea i just got an alignment but luckily i get them for $25
