            • Why do you say that? And who knows, maybe Andy will be running some nasty tires by then. Didn't he trap like 109? If he can get his launches down he should be in the 12's without a problem.

              • Won't need much modding to get to that point. Though I won't ever trap that high.

                • Yeah but Ant, how many will you find for under 15 grand with less than 50K miles? Honestly if it was a 5 speed I'd say buy it and put the $3000 turbo kit on it and you have just as much power as a speed. Did you look into that route yet?? It would save you on insurance every month too!

Actually we have been looking and have found quite a few in that price range with 30-40k on them. Ant has been doing his homework for a really long time on this mostly due to his extreme excitement over the fact that he could potentially own a car that is less than five years old

                        Love you honey

                          • LOL...This is getting so ridiculous. There's a guy over on rx7club that wants to put a single turbo on his RX-7, but wants to run the stock ECU? He has no idea what he wants, or what his power goals are...

From what it sounds like, the factory twins will do exactly what he wants. Not to mention the fact that he has NO interest in upgrading his fuel pump/injectors to handle a single turbo. He also doesn't understand that 12 psi on the stock twins does NOT equal 12 psi on a GT35R. Trying to explain CFM to him...We're all trying to save him from blowing up his motor. He talks about not wanting to upgrade the fuel system because he "has a heavy foot and will waste gas like crazy." Trying to explain to him that he'll be wasting motors like crazy if he goes single and doesn't upgrade!

He thinks he can just slap a single turbo on and run it off the factory ECU. Aside from the fact that his injectors would in no way be able to keep up, he'd have the factory fuel cut @ 12 psi to deal with! Who would want to run a single turbo that far out of its efficiency range??? He's clearly an RX-7 virgin, and we're trying to educate him, but he seems pretty dead set on trying to do this. Maybe we just need to let him blow it up so he learns?

Anywho, link to said thread if anyone's interested. => http://www.rx7club.com/showthread.ph...7#post10219527
